Title:Graded filtrations of graded modules with respect to associated primes and Hilbert coefficients
View PDFAbstract:The notion of Bourbaki filtrations is a generalization of composition series for modules of finite length, and is useful to study the Hilbert function. However, a graded version of Bourbaki filtrations cannot control the shifts. In this paper, we construct another graded filtration of graded modules that can control the shifts by using associated prime ideals. We also investigate the Hilbert function of ideals of reduction number $2$ or $3$ by applying our filtration to the Sally modules.
