Title:Transformations of lattice polytopes and their associated dotted graphs
View PDFAbstract:We consider a lattice polytope in the $xy$-plane such that each edge is parallel to the $x$-axis or the $y$-axis. In [4], we investigated transformations of certain lattice polytopes, and we considered the reduced graph that is obtained from deformations of a graph associated with a lattice polytope. In this paper, we refine the notion of the reduced graph by introducing the notion of a dotted graph. A lattice polytope is presented by an admissible dotted graph. We investigate deformations of dotted graphs, and we investigate relation between deformations of admissible dotted graphs and transformations of lattice polytopes, giving results that are refined and corrected versions of [4, Lemma 6.2, Theorem 6.3].
