Title:Calendars of India
View PDFAbstract:This short monograph is devoted to different historical calendars prevalent in India from ancient times. They are classified and described with astronomical and historical details. Relationship of the calendrical elements to modern astronomical terminology has been explained. A proposal is outlined for modifying the calendar for removing inconsistencies and improving its accuracy.
