Title:Heteroscedastic Treed Bayesian Optimisation
View PDFAbstract:We propose new hierarchical models and estimation techniques to solve the problem of heteroscedasticity in Bayesian optimisation. Our results demonstrate substantial gains in a wide range of applications, including automatic machine learning and mining exploration.
