Title:Amusing properties of Klein-Gordon solutions on manifolds with variable geometry
View PDFAbstract:This work develops the recent proposition to use dimensional reduction from the four-dimensional space-time to the one with a smaller number of dimensions (1+d); d < 3 at high enough energy. To this goal, we study the Klein-Gordon equation on a few toy examples of space-time with variable dimension. Here, the new trick of transforming the Klein-Gordon problem on variable geometry to the Schrödinger-type equation. with potential generated by this variation is of help. Our observations are: - The signal, related to degree of freedom specific for the higher-dimensional part does not penetrate into the smaller-dimensional part due to the effective centrifugal force at the junction region. - The specific spectrum of scalar excitations characterizes the junction geometry. - The parity violation due to the asymmetry of the space geometry could result in the CP-violation
