Title:Continuous Disintegrations of Gaussian Measures
View PDFAbstract:A disintegration (or regular conditional probability) is a way to condition a probability measure on a single point y. We introduce continuous disintegrations as those which vary continuously in y. We present a necessary and sufficient condition for continuous disintegrations to exist for Gaussian measures on separable Banach spaces. For the example of continuous functions on a compact set, this condition takes a simple form and is satisfied for a wide class of applications, including stationary Gaussian processes. We also analyze how continuous disintegrations transform under absolutely-continuous changes of measure.
