Title:The Hubbard model on a square lattice in the one- and two-electron subspace
View PDFAbstract: In this paper we profit from a recently introduced general rotated-electron description of the Hubbard model on the square lattice which is consistent with the model global $SO(3)\times SO(3)\times U(1)$ symmetry to study that quantum problem in the subspace relevant for the one- and two-electron physics. When defined in such a subspace only the $c$ fermions and spin-singlet two-spinon $s1$ bond particles play an active role. The structure of the spin configurations associated with a $s1$ bond particle studied in this paper simplifies in that subspace. Bond states are in general not orthogonal and their basis is overcomplete. Due to spin configuration restrictions associated with the well-defined set of two-site bonds contributing to a given $s1$ bond particle being centered at the same real-space coordinate of the spin effective lattice, such a problem does not occur though in the representation used in this paper.
