Title:Weakly-special threefolds and non-density of rational points
View PDFAbstract:We verify the transcendental part of a conjecture of Campana predicting that the rational points on the weakly-special non-special simply-connected smooth projective threefolds constructed by Bogomolov-Tschinkel are not dense. To prove our result, we establish fundamental properties of moduli spaces of orbifold maps. The crux of the argument relies on a dimension bound for such moduli spaces which relies on a recently established extension of Kobayashi-Ochiai's finiteness theorem to the more general setting of Campana's orbifold pairs.
